do cast members at Disney world take a photo for you with your own camera or do you have to get a photo pass

    Hi Carlyn,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

I’m happy to say that Disney PhotoPass Service Cast Members will be more than happy to take pictures with your own camera throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

That being said, I didn’t get Memory Maker during one of my visits when it was first introduced and I regret that decision to this day! For my family, our vacation memories are some of our most treasured possessions, and there’s no better way to re-live the Magic than through pictures. You see, not only can you get some pretty cool “magic shots” through PhotoPass, but the quality of the pictures taken with that service and creativity of some of the poses that the Cast Members will use are truly, well, magical! I recognize that purchasing Memory Maker is an additional expense, but I sincerely believe that it’s a worthwhile one.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
