Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Emily. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few days! You must be super excited for all the pixie-dusted adventures you're going to experience in
and out of the theme parks.
You ask an excellent question. When the COVID pandemic began, Guests were no longer able to ask a Cast Member to take pictures using their phones. It was one of the many precautionary measures that was taken at the Walt Disney World Resort for the safety of Guests and Cast Members alike. I'm pleased to tell you that on my most recent visit two months ago, Cast Members and Disney PhotoPass photographers
could take photos with Guests' phones if asked.
It's important to note, though, that health and safety measures and operational guidelines are subject to change at any time. If you'd like a Cast Member or Disney PhotoPass photographer to take your picture with your phone, just politely ask! If they're unable to due to changes in protocol, they'll politely decline. A Disney PhotoPass photographer took a picture of my husband and I in front of Cinderella Castle with my phone when I was newly pregnant with my third baby, and it's one of my favorite Disney photos of all time! It was one of the few trips we've taken to the Walt Disney World Resort without kids in tow, and it made for precious memories.
Be sure to take advantage of all the unique
Disney PhotoPass opportunities throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
The planDisney panelists have great tips on how to capture magical memories with the Disney PhotoPass service. Check them out!
I hope this was helpful, Emily. I'm wishing you a Disney vacation that is practically perfect in every way!
