Hi Tracie!
A warm welcome to planDisney. Thank you for sending us your awesome question about using cash in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
Tracie, to promote reduced contact and keep Guests and Cast Members healthy, Guests are being encouraged to
use low-contact payment options. These options include credit cards, debit cards, and
Disney Gift Cards.
Guests can also opt for entirely contactless payment options, such as Apple Pay or other mobile wallets. If you are carrying cash, you can use cash to purchase a Disney Gift Card at Guest Relations and other merchandise locations — allowing you to make purchases in a low-contact way! Additionally, Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guests can use their MagicBands to charge their purchases to their hotel rooms.
If you still prefer to use cash, I am happy to report that cash is still being accepted throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Isn’t that awesome, Tracie?
I encourage you to learn even more about the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort by
visiting the experience updates page in advance of your vacation. There are so many exciting updates on the horizon! It truly is a "great big beautiful tomorrow."
If you have any additional questions, please visit us again! We are always hEAR to help you!
