Bonjour Andrée-Anne et bienvenue à planDisney! If you’re swimming in cash like Uncle Scrooge and prefer using it during your upcoming
Walt Disney World trip, let’s dive in to your question and get the details!
You’ll be happy to know that many restaurants and merchandise locations at Walt Disney World still accept cash! There are some locations at the parks (mostly snack carts) that are cashless locations and you’ll find signs at these locations that will indicate that they are cashless as you queue.
Andrée-Anne, here’s a bonus tip! If you find yourself wanting to buy that Mickey ice cream bar or some popcorn and only have cash, I recommend using that cash to buy a Disney gift card. You can find gift cards at many merchandise locations. I like using gift cards during my trip to avoid accumulating a lot of change, especially when we’re snacking around the world at EPCOT! Whenever you use your gift card, your receipt will display the remaining balance and you can always add more value to a gift card. You can also manage multiple gift cards and transfer values between the two cards on the
Disney Gift Card website. Here's another bonus tip! Disney gift cards can also be used as a form of payment on the
My Disney Experience app, which is helpful so you can save time by
Mobile Ordering from quick-service restaurants!
Andrée-Anne, merci for your question and for visiting planDisney. Hopefully this information is handy for you during your upcoming visit. Speaking of which, don’t forget to visit EPCOT for the
International Food & Wine Festival, my favorite festival at EPCOT! If you have any further questions about your upcoming vacation, feel free to
contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
