Greetings Marilu and welcome to planDisney!
I’m sure you were elated to hear that
Buena Vista Street will be opening as an extension of the
Downtown Disney District. According to the Disney Parks Blog, starting next week you’ll be able to experience shopping and dining experiences plus some holiday cheer! And it’s all happening right in time to celebrate the holiday season at “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
Several retail locations including Elias & Co, Julius Katz & Sons, Trolley Treats, and Kingswell Camera Shop will be open so you can shop til you drop! Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to dine at Smokejumpers Grill, Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Cafe, plus enjoy treats like popcorn and popsicles from outdoor vending carts. And, finally the location I’m most looking forward to is
Carthay Circle Lounge. The restaurant will be offering alfresco dining with expanded outdoor seating and amazing views of Buena Vista Street. While we know that the Lounge will offer a menu featuring Mediterranean-California cuisine and cocktails, we don’t know much more. Additional details on Carthay Circle Lounge, including whether or not reservations will be offered, will be shared soon. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for more information.
If you haven’t visited the Downtown Disney District since it reopened, I encourage you to check out the
website before your visit. You can view the new guidelines and check out a list of all the open retail stores and dining locations. Lastly, please note that while parking is currently complimentary, starting on November 19 there will be $10 charge per car (prices are subject to change without notice).
Thanks for bringing your question our way! We hope to see you again at planDisney in the future!
