Ahoy there, Jackie. Thanks for taking the time to sail by planDisney with your question for us.
As you get ready and pack for your upcoming cruise, having to carry along original passports or birth certificates for your family may cause some anxiety. Trust me, I can empathize. Between my husband and me, I usually take on the main responsibility of holding passports for everyone in our family whenever we travel internationally.
Unfortunately, Jackie, in order to board a Disney cruise ship, you will need to provide original government-issued document(s) when you arrive at the port. Depending on where you are sailing to, you may also need
additional document besides your passport, such as an entry visa.
Once you’re able to enter your stateroom on Embarkation Day, you can deposit your important documents and valuables in your
security safe. That way, while you’re enjoying all the fun activities during your cruise, you don’t have to worry about keeping close tab on these very important items.
If you have more trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to stop by
planDisney again. We’re happy to help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
Hope to see ya real soon,
Kiki
