Hi there, Elaine, and welcome to planDisney! You'll be arriving at the Most Magical Place on Earth so soon, and you must be getting so excited! I'm so glad you're here with this great question! I'll keep this answer short and sweet so you can get back to packing your suitcase!
Elaine, you'll be happy to know that most bags are allowed at Walt Disney World Resort. According to the
Property Rules, your bag can not be larger than 24" long by 15" wide by 18" high, and all bags are subject to search upon entry at the Disney Theme Parks and Disney Springs. I prefer to wear a lightweight fanny pack and am so glad that they're "cool" again! I even found a brightly-colored Lilly Pulitzer fanny pack with a
Disney theme, so it's now my favorite.
Even though I love to be prepared, a large bag isn't my go-to because with all of the walking I do, lugging around a big bag would be tiring. As long as you dress in layers and have your lipstick, sunglasses, ID, preferred method of payment, and a poncho, you're good to go! In a pinch, you can find most essentials within the parks. I recently stopped by the
First Aid Center for some ibuprofen and was in and out in just a few minutes.
Elaine, I hope this gives you some peace of mind as you continue to count down to your arrival. Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have!
See you real soon!
Jennifer
