Welcome, Chip!
Thanks for bringing such an important question our way for your upcoming
Disney Cruise Line vacation. You’re as welcome as can be, and Disney makes it easy to bring your own medical equipment and request additional accommodation for it onboard all five of their
gorgeous ships.
A recent change to the
Disney Cruise Line website and
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App has made it easy to indicate this medical equipment in advance of your sailing. Please log onto your account and
indicate this CPAP machine under
Special Services for your cruise reservation. If you need distilled water or an extension cord for your stateroom to support the use of your CPAP machine, your stateroom host can see that indicated and provide it for you.
When it comes to your special embarkation day,
yes – you should carry this medical equipment with you as part of your carry-on luggage. This ensures it is in your care during travel and not moved quickly to risk damage with the regular luggage, and it can easily go with you through the security process. Once your stateroom is ready early in the afternoon, you can leave your bags safely there while you explore the rest of the ship and get started on your fun vacation activities.
Please let us know what other questions you have as you prepare for this wonderful vacation, Chip! Our planDisney crew has sailed on all five ships and explored around the world with Disney Cruise Line, so we are always happy to share our advice and best tips so that you can have an incredible experience!
Wishing you a magical cruise,
Amy
