Hi Carrie! I love your answers. I'm interested in running my first Disney Marathon next year. What advice would you give someone who considers "walking up the stairs to go to bed" as exercise?

    Hi Ca'Sandra,

    Thank you for your question.

I think you should set the goal and run a Disney marathon.
I have run a number of half and full marathon's and I have to say that Disney runs are my favourite--nothing compares!!

I would recommend that you start walking.  Set a goal each day to walk a certain distance.  Build your endurance with your walks and then start to add in intervals of jogging/running. Keep increasing your distance.  Start with 5k, then onto 10k, next would be 15k and then 20k.

Having a goal with a deadline will keep you motivated.

Why don't you register for the Disney's Princess Half Marathon which is Feb 26th-the registration just opened!! That gives you just over 7 months to get training!

After you finish and you get your medal, you will be hooked!!!

Set your goal and get training!!

Thank you again for your question, I hope to see you at the Princess Half Marathon 2012!!

    Carrie
