    Does the Carribean Beach Resort, have a Preferred Area? A Member of our family was told you can ask to be in this buliding or that buliding? Some are better then others?? We do want a ground floor room.

    Tropical Greetings, Tatum and congrats on your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World and the Caribbean Beach Resort.

    Preferred rooms at Caribbean Beach Resort are located the Martinique Section (buildings 24,25, and 26) and Trinidad North.  These buildings are conveniently located on either side of the Old Port Royal Main building and are only a short walk from the food court, shopping, and main pool area.

    Preferred Rooms are priced higher than standard rooms and are available for booking ONLINE or by phone.  If you have already booked your room, you can call the friendly travel planners at the Walt Disney Travel Company at  (407)WDISNEY to have a special location request noted to your reservation.  Even though you have booked a standard room, you can certainly still request to be assigned to a specific building or a specific floor, including the Preferred sections.  Special requests can never be guaranteed, but be sure to mention your special request again at check-in. I can assure that the Cast Members at Caribbean Beach will do their very best to accommodate you.

    In my opinion, the best non-preferred building is Jamaica (buildings 41 and 45 are best) which is located about a 2-minute walk from the bus stop, a 5-minute walk from Old Port Royal via the tropical island bridge, and this section even has its own pool and slide.  You would most likely be very happy with a Jamaica room assignment, and since this is a non-preferred section, your request will have a great chance of being granted.
