Hello Molly!
Welcome back to planDisney! April 2023 will be an amazing month to visit Walt Disney World Resort! You will be arriving after the Grand Opening of
TRON Lightcycle/ Run on April 4 and during my favorite festival-
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!
I have stayed at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort before and needed bed rails for my children! I don't know about your kids but mine are ninja sleepers. You never find them in the same position as when they went to sleep. Bed rails are provided for guests upon request from this Resort. You can call the Front Desk and ask for them on the first day you arrive. I needed two of these bed rails as I wanted both sides guarded and they were wonderful at accommodating me. Everything is based on availability but I have never had an issue getting one.
Now, this 5th sleeper bed could theoretically get a bed rail on it but I would not recommend it. The mattress is essentially the thickness of a crib mattress and there is no box spring underneath. As a result, the bed rail will not be very stable and it will be felt by the sleeper due to the mattress' lack of thickness. Recently, my 8-year-old son slept well on the 5th sleeper but I used some chairs against the edge as a barrier. However, if my kids were younger and at risk of falling I would keep them on the queen bed in the room with one to two of the bed rails on the side. They will fit much more securely and it won't be felt at all.
For daytime excitement, I recommend checking out
EPCOT. My kids love the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival as there is always a scavenger hunt with prizes that make traveling through the "World" fun for everyone! I love how the Festivals find ways to make it fun for even our littlest Mousketeers so make sure to check it out! You will also find some great playgrounds for kids to get their "wiggles" out.
If you have any more questions please
let me know!
Have a magical time!
