Hi Joann! Welcome to planDisney!
Planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is equal parts exciting and nerve-racking. Deciding on which theme parks to visit and mapping out what attractions you want to ride are part of the fun of it all. Figuring out the logistics of traveling and how to get from place to place can be the difficult parts. It's all well worth it when you have finally arrived and entered under the archways to the
Most Magical Place on Earth!
Currently, Disney does not offer air transportation as an option for vacation packages. This is something you will need to look for on your own. Luckily, there are plenty of websites to search through which will give you the benefit of having a wider variety of flights to choose from. You'll be able to pick the best option for your itinerary and budget. Keep in mind that there are two airports located in the Orlando, FL area. The Orlando International Airport (MCO) will have more flights in and out as well as more transportation options to your resort. Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) is a smaller airport with fewer direct flight options.
Speaking of transportation, another thing to consider is how to get to your resort once you arrive. Disney has discontinued their Magical Express bus transportation but there are alternatives in place. Mears Connect is a bus service that will transport you from the Orlando International Airport to your
Disney Resort Collection hotel, very similar to Magical Express. You will need to book this service directly through their website.
Joann, I hope I was able to point you in the right direction for air travel. Please stop back to
planDisney with any additional questions!
Happy planning!
