Thomas from North Ayrshire Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We have cards but they are all linked to my account on the app on my phone. I want to set my wife's phone up and link her card to the app on her phone, but can't as it is linked to mine. Can I remove the card from my phone to reassign?

    Hi Thomas, welcome to planDisney!

I know a Prince Charming when I see one and you certainly fit the bill. Technology is an important part of planning and executing an unforgettable Walt Disney World Resort vacation and I applaud your efforts to set your wife up for success. Logging into separate My Disney Experience accounts on your My Disney Experience mobile apps makes sense because it allows you to view and make plans for each other while still having autonomy during your park days. Let's see if I can give your question a happy ending.

Please start by locating your wife's ticket on your My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the homepage --> Tickets and Passes). If her ticket is currently linked to you, jump to Solution A. If her ticket is currently linked to an account profile with her name, jump to Solution B.

Solution A: You can reassign wholly unused tickets to anyone on your Family and Friends list. Start by clicking the "Reassign Ticket" button under your ticket. If you and your wife are not yet connected as Family and Friends, click "Add a Guest" --> "I'll enter their name and age" --> "Share Planning with this Guest" (prompt appears after age is selected) --> enter the email address associated with your wife's My Disney Experience account. As soon as your wife accepts the email invitation to connect, all of the reservation entitlements housed under your account will automagically transfer to your account. You will remain connected as Family and Friends, which means you can view and make plans for each other.

Solution B: You need to merge the My Disney Experience account profile housed under your account with your wife's account. Start by clicking your wife's name on your Family and Friends list in the My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the homepage --> scroll down and click "My Profile" --> "Family and Friends List" tab). Click "Send Email" and enter the email address associated with your wife's My Disney Experience account. As above, when your wife clicks "accept" in the email invitation, her ticket will transfer to her account. An app refresh will likely be needed for the changes to be seen on her phone.

I hope one of these solutions fits like a glass slipper, Thomas. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any follow-up questions.
