Is there a card to be purchased that allows for discounts at the Wine and Food Festival at Epcot? We met a couple last year that had such a pass and told us about it.

    Hi Geraldine,

I can't tell you how excited I am that the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is just a few days away. It's my favorite "season" of the year!

I think the pass you are referring to is the Tasting Sampler, which was introduced during the 2015 festival. When you buy the sampler (priced at $59 + tax this year), you get a special commemorative pin and a lanyard with a card that allows you to pick eight food or drink samplers from among about 200 offered in the Global Marketplaces around Epcot.

I would recommend using your eight picks on higher priced items in the kiosks to get the best value. Tastes and sips in the past have generally ranged from about $3 to $8, with a few in the $9-$10 range. And take note of the fine print. As I recall last year, the Tasting Sampler did not include wine and beer flights, just single drinks and tastes. I haven't seen a price list for the marketplaces yet this year, but the menus are available now.

The sampler is a convenient way to pay for your food and drink, and it helps keep track of how much you have spent along the way.

Before you go, you may also want to check out what's new at the 2016 festival. It's shaping up to be another delicious year.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Happy eating!
