    Are there caracals in Animal Kingdom?

    hmm...that's a tough one!! I'm a huge Animal Kingdom fan.  I believe if I'm not mistaken a Caracal is an African Lynx.   There is an area where the lions rest upon the rocks in a fenced area.  It looks like Pride Rock from the Lion King.  I don't recall seeing any Caracal's while visiting last fall.  I would venture to guess they would have been near the lions if they were there.   Everything changes so don't lose hope, you never know what you will find when you go to Animal Kingdom.  We always see something new each time we go to Animal Kingdom!!
