Hi Megan! Thanks for cruising on over to planDisney with your transportation questions! It sounds like your magic carpet might be in the repair shop. Let’s see how we can get you from one place to another!
While I am not sure of all the details of your vacation reservation, if you booked the rental car through the Walt Disney World Resort then they are typically available at the
Disney Car Care Center which is located on property at the Walt Disney World Resort. The easiest way to get from your resort hotel to the Disney Car Care Center to pick up your rental car is to schedule complimentary transportation. You can do that by calling (407)-824-3470 and choose “option 1.” After you set this up, a driver will meet you at your resort hotel and provide complimentary transportation to pick up your rental car! If you have any trouble booking your pick-up, you can ask the front desk at your Disney Resort Hotel to assist with arranging your complimentary ride to the Disney Car Care Center.
Now, regarding transportation from Orlando International Airport to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, I recommend doing a quick internet search of “transportation from Orlando International Airport to Disney World.” When you enter that search, you will find several reliable transportation options that Guests are able to book from the airport to their resort! In the post-Magical Express era, my family purchased bus service from the airport to our Walt Disney World Resort hotels. The new bus services operate quite similarly to Disney’s Magical Express. You will book your transportation ahead of time and, upon arrival at Orlando International Airport, you will check in with your transportation provider and board your bus. The less expensive options will typically travel to three or four Disney Resort Hotels, so be prepared for a longer bus ride. I enjoy the bus ride as it gives me an opportunity to see some of the other
Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Some transportation providers offer expedited service directly to your resort hotel for a higher fee.
Megan, I hope this information is helpful! Come on back to planDisney if you have any additional questions!
Happy Planning!
