Hello and Welcome to planDisney, Pinky. Thanks for stopping by to ask your question here.
I totally get it, Pinky. Sometimes there is nothing worse than that dreaded walk back to the car after a long day at the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks. I always drive myself so I make that walk every single time I visit. Unfortunately, we just have to power through it because there is not an alternative for getting back to your car at this time. Before the shutdown last summer, trams were available to at least get you closer to your parking spot but since Walt Disney World reopened they have not been brought back. I haven't heard any words as to when or if the parking lot trams will make their comeback.
Something you could do to cut down on the walking is upgrade to a
preferred parking spot at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Preferred parking costs anywhere between $45 and $50 per day and will get you a spot closer to the front. There is still some walking but not nearly as bad as being back in the standard parking lots.
I like to pack a small cooler to keep in my car filled with bottled water, Pinky. After a long day at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and then an even longer walk back to the car there is nothing better than sipping on cold water during the drive home. Give this a try and see if it helps you at all as it does me!
I'm sorry I don't have a better solution for you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have a great day!
