Can you have a car in Fort Wilderness Cabins?

Hi Sherry! The Fort Wilderness Resort is a hidden gem of all Disney resorts. It offers a completely different experience for guests and your accommodations are private and peaceful.

Guests may certainly bring their cars when booking a Fort Wilderness cabin. There is space to park a car at the cabin as well as a plug in for a golf cart if you choose to rent one of those during your stay. There is a strict speed limit in the loops as many families allow their children to play in front of the cabins so just keep that in mind. You will not need your car while you are using the facilities of the resort as there is no parking at the pool, trading posts, or for Trails End restaurant. You must walk or use the internal bus system which is very easy and quick to use. If you use your car for driving to parks or off property then you will use your magic band to return. They will raise the gates as other resorts and you can always stop at the guard lane and return that way.

The buses heading to the parks are very efficient and come quickly within 15-20 minutes. The main bus depot is at the front of the park. Hope this information proves useful and let us know if there is anything else we can help you with during your planning.
