Hiya Penny! From one Ohioan to another… welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you “clicked” our way with your question!
I can see that you will be visiting Walt Disney World in just over a month -- how very exciting! For many of our Guests, it is the first time returning to the Magic since the Disney Parks' phased reopening. This is both very exciting and understandably leads to lots of questions, and we are always happy to help!
As you may already know, Theme Park capacity is being managed via the
Park Pass Reservation system. Each Guest must have a Park Pass Reservation for the
Theme Park they wish to visit on each day of their vacation, in addition to a valid
Theme Park Ticket. At this time, the most recent estimates available to us state that Theme Park capacity is, and has been, currently capped at roughly 30%. Walt Disney World has recently restated its commitment to not changing this capacity at this time. In fact, most of the
safeguards and regulations in place since the beginning of the phased reopening of the Disney Parks have remained the same as the initial day! Slowly but surely, availability has increased when it comes to offerings and attractions, which is super exciting!
Penny, I hope that this information is helpful to you as you continue to plan! If you have not done so already, check out the Park Pass Reservation
availability calendar to see which Parks have availability over your preferred dates! As Guests change their plans, availability can shift and change as dates draw nearer, so check back if you do not see your preferred Theme Park available on a given day.
I wish you a magical vacation, and please know that you can come back to see us again to discuss any aspect of your plans, now or in the future!
See ya real soon!
Clara
