Ashley from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

If capacity has opened up will you offer more dining opportunities? Everything is booked the entire time we are there. How are we suppose to feed 4 kids and ourselves? I would think Disney would want us to pay to eat at the park.

    Hi Ashley,

Welcome to planDisney! The good news is that you have a visit planned to the Disneyland Resort!

Although I cannot speculate about dining capacity being expanded, particularly since reopening requires great attention to the health and safety of our Guests, I will say that you definitely should keep trying to make advanced dining reservations. Cancelations do happen. Book what you can even if the dining times are not ideal. Even though we prefer to have dinner at 6:00 p.m., we have done dinner earlier from time to time just to get a dining reservation.

As you continue to plan, I would suggest that you try making reservations for four and two. With a party of six it can be difficult to make reservations. When I have to use this strategy, I snag the reservations I can and then just keep looking for another reservation within 15 minutes of the first one. When you arrive at the restaurant, ask the Cast Members if they can seat you together. Although not guaranteed, they try their best!

If you have not done so already, I do hope you made theme park reservations for the dates of your visit. Keep an eye on the theme park reservation availability calendar before trying to make any changes to your theme park reservations. If you have those theme park reservations, that is a huge win!

Also know that if you are unable to secure advanced dining reservations, you can use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. Just review the participating locations and make sure you have downloaded the Disneyland Mobile App. And be sure to check the available arrival times at least an hour before you would like to eat. You can also check Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability while there.

Ashley, your instincts are correct. I would highly recommend that you have some advanced dining reservations, so stay persistent and keep checking multiple times a day. Then use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering and check Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability. I am sending a little extra pixie dust trusting that your persistence will bring you some dining reservation victories!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
