Since the capacity is limited at Disney World parks, do we need to make reservations to visit the new Star Wars Galaxy Edge attraction & reserve fast passes for any & all of the rides?

Bright suns, Laura! It sounds like you are ready for an adventure to a galaxy far, far away! Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is a dream come true for any fan of Star Wars or those just looking to enjoy some stunningly amazing attractions at Disney's Hollywood Studios

While you do not have to make a reservation to visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, you do have to make a reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios which is the park in which Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is located. In fact, you need to make reservations to visit any of the four Disney Parks. You will make your reservation using the Disney Park Pass System. The Disney Park Pass System will show you which parks are available during your planned stay. Use that system to select which parks you want to visit on which days.

There are two attractions located at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! True fans of Star Wars owe the Disney Imagineers a huge thank you! These attractions are amazing! The first attraction is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I often refer to this attraction as the closest that you will come to "starring" in a Star Wars "movie." This attraction lasts 18-minutes! It is an adventure from start to finish! In order to experience this attraction, you must secure a boarding group using your My Disney Experience app. There are two times of the day to secure a boarding group. Those times are 7:00AM and 2:00PM. Once you secure a boarding group, you will be assigned a time during the day or evening to arrive to the attraction.

The second attraction is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. This ride puts you at the controls of the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs! The appearance of the Millennium Falcon is awe-inspiring! That's even before you get to experience the ride! You don't need a boarding pass for this attraction. You will wait in a traditional stand-by line. As you wait, take a moment to look around at the attention to detail that the Disney Imagineers put into designing this land!

Laura, may the Force be with you as you continue planning your magical vacation! Those of us at planDisney are happy to help with any other planning questions that you might have!
