Ahoy Mayra!
I'm thrilled to hear you'll be experiencing a Disney Cruise Line vacation for the very first time! Our first cruise of any kind was with Disney, and we were hooked from the moment we stepped on the ship. The personalized customer service and attention to detail makes DCL a step above all the rest!
While you will have an assigned dining time and Main Dining venue each evening, no need to worry about reservations for breakfast and lunch. The Disney Dream has several restaurants that feature "open seating".
Royal Palace,
Cabanas, and
Enchanted Garden will all be serving buffet-style breakfast each morning. Simply check your Personal Navigator (daily schedule) for dining times! I've found Cabanas to have a bit larger buffet than the other restaurants, but there's delicious choices and a wide selection at all three.
At lunchtime, you can also enjoy open seating. You can choose from buffet lunches at Enchanted Garden and Cabanas, or a full-service lunch at Royal Palace. There are also several quick-service windows on the pool deck serving a variety of burgers, sandwiches and pizza.
Another awesome dining option is Room Service. Room Service is included in the price of your cruise, and is available 24 hours a day. Craving buffalo wings at midnight? All you have to do is call, and they'll be delivered right to your stateroom! Warm cookies and milk at bedtime? Just a call away.
I hope this helps! Please come back and visit us here at the Moms Panel if you have any more questions before you set sail.
Have a magical day! - Diane W.
