Since we can’t transfer ownership between family members, can I cancel a family members pass and open a new one in a different family member’s name? Same pass tier.

Hi Zach. Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

It sounds as if you're familiar with some of the terms of being a Magic Key holder, including, passes can't be transferred to another Guest. They also can't be canceled for a refund. There's no workaround to cancel and assign to a new Guest or cancel and apply the funds toward a new pass. Additionally, all sales of Magic Keys are paused. They're only available for renewal for existing holders at this time, and we don't know when they might open up for new sales again.

I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping for today. One of the benefits of being a Magic Key holder is you always have access to the Magic Key Holders' dedicated phone line where a helpful Cast Member can address whatever concerns you might have specific to your situation. They can let you know what options you have associated with your passes and tiers.

I hope you're able to enjoy your year of increased access to the parks, discounts, and perks. There's so much excitement headed our way in 2024, and I know you won't want to miss a minute. Disney Parks Blog has all the official news to plan how you're going to spend the upcoming year enjoying the Happiest Place on Earth.

    Have a magical day!
