Hey there David and welcome to planDisney. This is the most magical place on the internet to find answers to your Disney vacation planning questions. Not being able to use your
theme park tickets is definitely a downer but I have yet to experience a situation where Mickey did not have some special magic for many of these situations.
Since I do not know the exact nature of why you are unable to use your theme park ticket, I can give you some information on theme park tickets and what to do. First, tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable but the original ticket price of an unused ticket may be applied towards another theme park ticket or
Annual Pass. If the new theme park ticket is more expensive you will have to pay the difference, if it is less expensive then it will be an even swap as there are no refunds.
I suggest you
contact Existing Tickets and speak with a Cast Member about your next step as soon as possible. They will walk you through all your options.
planDisney Pro Tip: Even if you are unable to use your unused theme park ticket you may be able to gift it to someone who is able to use it. I have done this before when I could not make a date and I had a friend who needed a theme park ticket. In return, I received a ticket from them at a later date. We were able to do this through our
My Disney Experience accounts by reassigning tickets.
David, I hope this helps you get the answer you need. Please feel free to
write me back with any follow-up questions.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
