Ralph from VA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

If you can’t use a single day ticket on the date selected, can you change the date and, if so, how far in the future?

Welcome to planDisney, Ralph! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. Changing the date of your ticket is totally doable in most cases! If you can't use your single-day ticket on the original date, you may be able to change the date right in the My Disney Experience app, as long as the ticket is unused and still valid for modification.

Here's the quick path: open up the app, tap the main menu in the bottom right corner, select "Tickets & Passes," then swipe to the ticket you want to adjust and tap "Change Ticket." You'll see a calendar of available dates, and you can pick the new one that works for you. If the new date is higher priced, the app will show the price difference, and you'll pay that at checkout to lock it in. Once you complete checkout, your ticket will reflect the new date immediately.

How far in the future you can push it will vary based on what's on sale at the moment, but the app will display the full range of available dates for your specific ticket, so you'll know exactly how far out you can move it when you open the calendar. If you don't see the date you want, try a nearby date or check back later as inventory updates, or consider changing to a different ticket type if that makes sense for your plans.

If you have any further questions or you want to talk to someone about your options, you can always call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and Tickets. A Cast Member will review your exact ticket type, walk you through date-change availability, and process the change for you if it's eligible.

I hope this answers your question, Ralph, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
