I can’t share a ticket with my daughter’s friend whom we are taking to Disney in May.

Welcome to planDisney, Walt. You’ll feel right at home visiting The Most Magical Place On Earth that shares your name. It’s going to be legendary! Your visit is less than a month away, so let’s get right to it so you can continue planning your Disney vacation.

To share a ticket you purchased with your daughter’s friend, you must ensure the friend is added to your Family & Friends List. To do so, you will want to follow the steps below in your My Disney Experience app:

    • Open the My Disney Experience app on your mobile device.
    • Click on the menu icon (three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner).
    • Scroll to the Disney Account section and select “Profile”.
    • Select the “Family & Friends” tab at the top of the next screen.
    • Click “Add a Guest.”’

Once you have successfully added your daughter’s friend to your Family & Friends List, you will want to return to the menu (by tapping the three horizontal line icon) again and select “My Tickets & Passes.” Scroll through the tickets you purchased, and when you find the one intended to be used by the friend, you will see the option to “Reassign Ticket.” When you click on that, you will be taken to a new screen with your Family & Friends List, where you can select the appropriate Guest.

Walt, did you know that you can use Disney MagicMobile to access all tickets for your entire party? To use this feature, open your My Disney Experience app, click on the menu icon in the bottom-right corner, scroll to the Disney Account section, and select “Set up MagicMobile Entry.” Click the plus icon (+) and follow the prompts to add your MagicMobile passes to your Apple or Google Wallet.

For Apple users, Express Mode is enabled when you add the pass to your wallet. This allows you to hold your device to the touchpoint without opening your wallet or unlocking your device—easy, right? Express Mode also lets you swipe to the passes of any guests in your party. Android users must unlock their devices before using their MagicMobile pass, but it’s just as straightforward. This process can be used to check in at virtual queues and Lightning Lane entrances.

I hope this helps, Walt. If you run into any issues, I suggest contacting the My Disney Experience phone number under the Reservations and Tickets section of Disney’s Help Center or speaking to a Cast Member at Guest Relations when you arrive for your vacation. If you have any other vacation planning questions or want some food and dining suggestions, come back to planDisney and ask me a question!

    See you real soon!
