    Can't seem to get any character dining reservations. Is something has has to be done far in advance?

    Hi Mary,

    Character meals are, indeed, among the most popular reservations at Walt Disney World.  Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance, and many guests tend to make them as soon as possible.  It's not clear when you are travelling, but during peak season, it can be extra tough.  Don't give up hope, however!  We've had luck booking "last minute" reservations by being willing to eat at "off-peak" times.  In some cases, this meant getting my kids up and ready for a 7:00am breakfast at Chef Mickey's, but it was well worth it!  We've also been able to secure reservations at the character meals at Hollywood and Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Cape May Buffet at the Beach Club and at The Garden Grill at Epcot more easily than at some of the other venues.  You can also try walking up to a venue.  If you are willing to wait, it is sometimes possible to secure a table.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
