I can't seem to book our reservation for World of Color Dessert party for September 5th. It shows the month of September, but shows no availability past September 2. Any reason as to why?

    Hiya, Lisa!

The World of Color Dessert Party is my favorite way to experience this amazing nighttime spectacular. The Disneyland Resort park calendar often shows events as far out as four to six weeks. Sometimes schedules for those events change. Events that combine the park calendar, the entertainment schedule and dining occasionally take some extra time to settle on the final overall schedule. Usually, checking back periodically will be the best way to help ensure you get your preferred reservations. If you are used to detailed planning several months in advance, such as may be the case for some Walt Disney World vacation planning, I understand this may seem somewhat foreign. The dynamic culture of the entertainment industry in Southern California keeps long-term vacation planners on their toes, doesn’t it? But once you arrive at the Happiest Place on Earth, you may be able to use that dynamic culture to your advantage. With the ability to spontaneously plan upcoming activities as you go, you’ll feel as free to make your own magic as Peter Pan in Neverland. And, good news! I just checked the online reservation system, and it looks like World of Color Dessert Party reservations can now be made for September 5, 2019. So it looks like that calendar has finally settled for your date. If you still have difficulties, feel free to call the Disneyland Resort dining reservation line at (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463.

I expect you’ll have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort. The wonderful World of Color show will dazzle and delight. Across Paradise Bay, picturesque Pixar Pier serves as its backdrop. During the day, I love to sample the many snack options available there. Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums and Señor Buzz Churros have you covered with yummy munchies. And Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats and Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff stand ready to cool you off with delicious frozen treats.

I hope you have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah time, Lisa!
