Welcome to planDisney, Sara!
The magic of
Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration is calling Guests to experience the emotion of Harmonious at EPCOT, the joy of Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom Park, and the thrill of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. The Most Magical Celebration on Earth continues through March 31, which means your February visit will be full of festive fun.
Valid admission, a theme park reservation for each park day, and a method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+,
Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) are currently required for theme park entry. I understand you possess Fairy Godmother instincts, Sara, and would like to manage everyone's tickets, specifically their Disney MagicMobile passes. That's incredibly thoughtful of you. Let's dig a little deeper into how Disney MagicMobile passes work.
Guests can use their
My Disney Experience mobile apps to download Disney MagicMobile passes for themselves and anyone that appears on their
Family and Friends List in My Disney Experience with the words "Plans managed by me" beside their name (three small lines at the bottom right of the home page --> Disney MagicMobile). It sounds like your husband may have his own My Disney Experience account, which means he must download his Disney MagicMobile pass on his device. Disney MagicMobile passes can be downloaded to eligible iPhones, Apple Watches, or Google Pay enabled Android phones.
Once a Disney MagicMobile pass is created, it can only be shared through Apple iMessage with other iPhone users. Unfortunately,
the share feature is not currently an option for Android devices. Methods of entry can be mixed and matched so my best tip is to stop by a ticket window located outside the entrance to each theme park and pick up a complimentary admission card for your husband. It couldn't hurt to get one for everyone in your party - they make great souvenirs. Be prepared to show your ticket confirmation email, the original payment method, and a government-issued photo ID. This gives your husband the option to use the Disney MagicMobile pass housed in his phone at park entry, or you can pull out his admission card with your phone to scan along with the digital passes.
I hope this is helpful information, Sara. If I'm missing any important Disney details concerning your specific situation, please don't hesitate to
follow up with me directly. I see you working hard to maximize the magic on your family's upcoming vacation. You are the magic!
Plan magic; planDisney.
