As someone who also can’t experience every attraction at Walt Disney World, I completely understand wanting to stay with your family as they make their way through the queue. After all, Disney does such an amazing job with its attraction queues that sometimes the queue itself feels like part of the experience! I especially recommend checking out the new
Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets queue. It’s such a fun one, and you can enjoy the queue with your family and then exit before they board the attraction.
To answer your question, even if you don’t plan to ride the attraction, you’ll still need to have a
Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection for that attraction in order to enter the Lightning Lane with your party. I know that may feel a little frustrating when you won’t actually be experiencing the attraction, but it does allow you to enjoy the queue and stay together with your family. The good news is that you’ll also have your Lightning Lane selections available for the attractions you can enjoy, and I’ve personally found that having those in place can be incredibly helpful.
