Hi there, Sven! Thanks for stopping by planDisney, one of the helpful Disney vacation planning resources this side of the Outer Rim planets. Soon you’ll be on your way to Batuu and the Black Spire Outpost, so let’s see how we can prepare you for the adventure.
As you noted, the
Droid Depot at Hollywood Studios requires advanced reservations, as do other experiences in the
Enchanting Extras Collection. Guests in Europe and the United Kingdom need to
call the Tours & Recreation number to book these Walt Disney World experiences. A helpful Cast Member can let you know if any times are available during your stay and assist you in making a reservation.
The disclaimer you see on the Droid Depot webpage (“Valid admission required. A theme park reservation may be required based on admission type”) is just a reminder to all guests that they need a theme park ticket to visit the Droid Depot and other shops inside the park.
Certain theme park tickets—such as Annual Passes or certain Florida resident tickets—may require a theme park reservation, but date-based tickets do not. You can check which type of tickets you have, and if they do not require a reservation then you will be all set for your visit to Hollywood Studios and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Best of luck with your reservations quest, Sven! As Master Yoda famously said, “Do or do not, there is no try.” Come right back to planDisney if you have any other questions about your upcoming trip. We’re always here to help!
May the Force be with you (or “may the spires keep you” as the locals say on Batuu)
Matt
