I can't make my reservation dates anymore. When I cancel, will I need to pay for the new reservation, or can I just choose new dates and update the current reservation?

Hi Crystina, so glad you came to visit us at planDisney!

I'm so sorry to hear that you can't make your current theme park reservation dates at the Disneyland Resort. I've had to cancel our Disney vacation plans in the past due to certain life circumstances and it's never easy. I hope you're able to find future dates that work, Mickey and his pals will be waiting to welcome you!

On to the good news! Theme park reservations at the Disneyland Resort are very flexible! You can easily change your current reservations to a later date at no extra cost! Happy to walk you through the steps. First, you'll need to cancel your current theme park reservations by logging in to your Disneyland Resort account, selecting the "My Disneyland" link, clicking the "Ticket and Reservation Details" link and selecting the "Cancel Reservation" option. In the next step, you can cancel your reservations. After canceling your current theme park reservations, you can book a new reservation for your desired date and theme park! The new reservation does not have to be booked right away. You are completely free to book at a later time. But please know that reservations are limited and can be fully booked. Be sure to check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar.

Also, a quick tidbit, once you have a new reservation date in mind, I highly recommend you book your dining reservations in advance! Dining reservations are extremely popular at the Disneyland Resort and they tend to book quickly. You can book them 60 days in advance, so once your 60 day window opens, book away!
