Hi Cameron,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to see you planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
For the sake of my sanity, I make advanced dining reservations online. It is much easier to do and I can skip the wait times on the phones. If you have not tried making them online, I suggest that you try the online booking option. If you do not have a
My Disney Experience account, create one. Once you create that account, you can save a credit card to your account. When you make dining reservations, that credit card will be used to hold your reservations.
To make those dining reservations, just search the list of available restaurants that accept
advanced dining reservations. Search by day and time. If you have trouble finding available times, just keep checking. Also search by meal period (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) rather than searching by a particular time. The beauty of making those reservations online is that you can also modify or cancel them online should your plans change. Just be sure to review the potential cancelation penalties for each dining location.
As you make dining reservations, be sure to make those with your plans for the day in mind. For example, when we are going to sleep late and hang out at the resort hotel, I always make breakfast reservations at our resort hotel. Or, we use
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. Be sure to have the My Disney Experience Mobile App downloaded so that you can take advantage of other digital tools as well, including
Mobile Dine Check-in and
Disney MagicMobile service.
Cameron, assemble your crew, find the
matching gear, and brush up on your
packing skills. We are looking forward to welcoming you to a world of magic. Sending you some pixie dust as you plan an
Incredible Disney visit!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
