Before answering your question, let me explain a few different services that are available to you when you visit the
Walt Disney World Resort. Firstly,
Disney Genie is a free service to all Walt Disney World Guests to help create a personalized, suggested itinerary for each day of your trip. You can do this prior to your visit or on the day that you visit.
Disney Genie+ is an optional purchase that can be made for each person for any day you'd like to use the service. This gives you access to the
Lightning Lanes for over 40 different attractions across the resort to skip the main queue line for a shorter wait. Finally, you can also choose to purchase up to 2
Individual Lightning Lanes per person, per day to skip the main queue for some of the most popular rides at the resort. You can choose to purchase all of these services, some, or none. It's all up to you and your travel party!
Currently, Disney Genie+ can be purchased each day you'd like to use the service starting at 12 a.m. midnight EST. It cannot be purchased ahead of time. While you do not
have to purchase it at 12 a.m., you'll want to make sure that you do so before 7 a.m., which is when you can make your first Lightning Lane reservation. Individual Lightning Lanes can be purchased at 7 a.m. EST for Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel or when the park opens for all other Guests.
Stacy, you will be visiting in June which means
TRON / Lightcycle Run will be open (it opens on April 4, 2023). I would highly recommend purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane for that attraction as I'm sure the
virtual queue (the only other way to experience the attraction when it first opens) will fill up very quickly for that one. I can't wait to experience this new high-speed rollercoaster at
Magic Kingdom Park.
