MagicBand+ pairing with Smart Phone; Minnie Mouse band

    I can’t pair my magic band+. I think it’s charged as it vibrates green when I connect it to the charger, but then I can’t turn it on, or pair it. I’ve tried the factory reset and that doesn’t seem to work either

    Hi there, Mickey! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney with your question. It sounds like you're currently living your best life at The Most Magical Place on Earth, so let's jump right in!

    Oh, Mickey, what a pity--your MagicBand+ is having some issues. If you're seeing a green light on your band, that means that it's fully charged. Let me share my go-to tips to troubleshoot your pairing issues so we can hopefully get you back online and back to the fun at Walt Disney World Resort!
    • Try the factory reset once more. Press the button on the back of your MagicBand+ once, then quickly press and hold the button for about 15 seconds. You'll feel three buzzes, and the band will show a rainbow of colors--this indicates that the band is resetting. Once the reset is complete, the lights will turn off, then turn green, meaning the reset is complete. 
    • If that doesn't work, I suspect the issue is related to your connection. Go to the Bluetooth connection list in the Settings section of your phone. If you've already paired your MagicBand+ previously, select the option to forget the connection and then restart your phone. Once it's back on, open the My Disney Experience app and select the "MagicBands and More" tile. Choose your band and there should be a button that says "Pair".  Press this button and you should be all set!
    • If you STILL can't get that pesky MagicBand+ to pair, delete and reinstall the My Disney Experience app. You should see the "Pair" option for your band once the cache has been cleared. 
    Hopefully, these tips will get your band up and running--if not, visit Guest Relations at any of the theme parks, water parks, or Disney Springs, and the Cast Members there will be happy to help!

    Don't forget, you can also use Disney MagicMobile service, which will allow you to use your mobile device to enter the parks, check in for Virtual Queues or Lightning Lanes, purchase food and merchandise, and more! You can set up your pass through the My Disney Experience app and add it to your digital wallet. My husband and I recently found ourselves with an unexpected free day to visit EPCOT and had not packed MagicBands--the MagicMobile worked really well and was super convenient!
