I can’t pair my iPhone 14 with my new Disneyland magic band. Tried the reset and it didn’t work.

    Hello there, Cynthia!

Welcome to planDisney, it's nice to meet you! I'm sorry that you are experiencing some less-than-magical issues with your MagicBand+. I'll do my best to help!

I love using MagicBand+ at the Disneyland Resort, it makes so many things super easy! But I also know what it's like to have a hard time getting it going the first time. If you've already followed all the instructions for setting up MagicBand+ then there are a couple of other things you can try.

    • If you've also visited Walt Disney World Resort lately make sure that their mobile app (My Disney Experience) isn't open on your phone. MagicBand+ can only handle one app at a time!
    • Make sure your Disneyland Mobile App is up to date (you can look for updates in the App Store).
    • Check that your MagicBand+ has a good charge. The easiest way to do this is to plug it in and look for the display to light up in green.
    • Try the additional tips on the MagicBand+ troubleshooting page.
If you're still having a hard time I recommend chatting with a Cast Member through the Disneyland Mobile App. In the app just tap on the "☰" symbol to open the menu and scroll down to "Chat with Us" to get started. I like to chat on a separate mobile device (thanks for letting me borrow your phone, husband!) so I can use the app on my phone to follow the instructions from the Cast Member while I work with my band.

And if all else fails, you can always use the app to access your tickets and enter the parks. Once you're there, a Cast Member will be happy to help you work with your band. I know it's nice to get everything set in advance, but sometimes it's just easier to get help in person. Don't let a technology problem take the fun out of the rest of your planning!

Once your MagicBand+ is ready to go, keep an eye out for special Disney100 Celebration locations where your band can interact with the decor! I also love playing Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters with my MagicBand+ and I often run into fellow (pretty famous!) bounty hunters.

I'm sending all the happy thoughts for your MagicBand+ to get paired up and ready to go, Cynthia! I hope you have a wonderful visit to the parks!

    Keep moving forward!
