Hello, Rudy! Welcome to planDisney, where we'll happily answer
all of your
Disney vacation planning questions.
I actually was just in the same boat as you. My husband and I had a trip for his milestone birthday in August, but life got in the way and we had to cancel. But fast forward to less than a week from today, and we are leaving for the
Disneyland Resort! We used the amount we paid for our August ticket toward a ticket for December. I cannot wait to go back, especially for the
holiday season. Plus, my husband is a huge fan of all things Marvel and he has yet to see
Avengers Campus. I really can't wait to see his reaction. And since his favorite character is Dr. Strange, I just know he's going to love visiting the
Ancient Sanctum!
If you have a
theme park ticket that has not been used, you can usually apply the value you paid for the ticket toward a new ticket. To do this, you would have to
call and speak to a friendly Cast Member at the resort. Please note that if the cost of the new ticket is more expensive, you will need to pay the difference at the time of purchase. If the cost of the new ticket is less expensive, you will not receive a refund for the difference. Be sure to check the
Terms & Conditions page for more details.
Once you've purchased your new tickets, be sure to book your
Theme Park Reservations, which at this time are required to enter either
Disney's California Adventure Park or
Disneyland Park. The sooner you do this, the better, especially if you are visiting at a busy time of year like the holidays or spring break. Once your reservations are locked in, you are all set for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Rudy, did you see the
recent announcement about the upcoming
Disneyland After Dark events for 2024? If you're at the resort when one of these events is happening, you may want to check it out and let me know all about the fun you had! As someone who travels more often to the
Walt Disney World Resort, I'm totally jealous of these fun, creative, and unique events that the West Coast gets! I'll just keep on dreaming that they'll make their way over to the East Coast at some point in the future!
If you have any other questions,
please feel free to reach out directly to me!
Just keep wishing,
Matt
