Welcome to planDisney, Emma!
You've asked a great question about
theme park tickets for
Walt Disney World. Let's talk about options.
While theme park tickets are nonrefundable, you may be able to
modify dates for your tickets and use them at a later time. Sometimes life gets a bit complicated and plans for a visit might have to be adjusted--not a problem. You can do so by going into your
My Disney Experience account to modify your dates or by calling the super-helpful Cast Members at the number in the link above. Either way, you'll be reassured to know that the magic will be waiting for you whenever you are able to visit.
For my family, this was a great feature, as we've had to change plans from time to time. When we had purchased tickets that we were unable to use, I called a Cast Member at the
Help Center and they were able to walk me through my options. Our rescheduled trip was planned quite a long time after our original visit, so we were able to apply the amount I had paid for those initial tickets towards the purchase of new tickets that suited our new plans. It was such a simple process--and the fun was so worth the wait!
Of course, if you have family members or friends who are planning on visiting the parks, guests are able to
reassign an unused ticket to anyone on their Family & Friends List in their
My Disney Experience Account. We've reassigned a ticket or two and it was a super-simple, lightning-fast process done either online or with the the assistance of those super-helpful Cast Members. Easy peasy!
Emma, as you consider all of the options you have for using your Walt Disney World theme park tickets, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
