Hi Anthony,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian!
I’m so sorry that you’ve experienced some issues with getting
Disney MagicMobile Service to work on your smartphone. First things first: please don’t worry! There are many ways to
Access the Magic during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort – Disney MagicMobile service is only one of several ways to do so.
First, let’s try to troubleshoot a bit to figure out why it isn’t working. Go into your
My Disney Experience Mobile App, click on the “Disney MagicMobile” section of your My Disney Experience Account, and then set up Passes for each profile that is linked to your account. After that, there should be an option for you to put it into your phone’s digital wallet. If that doesn’t work, sometimes clicking on “Select Passes to Share” and then sending them to yourself via text message can help. If none of that works, then I’m afraid you’re going to have to
contact the My Disney Experience support line for more help. They’ll be able to provide you with more troubleshooting tips and advice that are specific to your account and the type of device that you’re using.
If none of those options works again, don’t worry! You can also purchase a Disney Band (also known as a MagicBand) when you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort or ask Guest Relations for physical cards to use during your Disney Day. The cards are offered at no additional cost to you and can sometimes be lifesavers, especially if your mobile device’s battery is running low.
Tip: if you’re having trouble accessing some of the links I’ve provided, please make sure that you select “United States (English)” as your language when navigating the website. You’ll find that option in the top right-hand corner of the page, next to the little globe icon.
I hope my answer helps reassure you and helps you resolve the technical issues that you’re experiencing. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
