I can't find any restaurants that are available to take reservations.

Hi Brooke, and welcome to planDisney! Let's get you ready for all the delectable dining you'll be doing at the Walt Disney World Resort!

My family is Greek, so we love to eat! Have you ever seen the giant Mezzo Metro sized pizza at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria at EPCOT? Yep, my guys can gobble up one of those things in no time! As you can imagine, dining is something we take very seriously, so we've gotten pretty good at getting reservations at our favorite Walt Disney World restaurants. I just took a peek at what's available for your visit in June, and I think you can get excited at the choices!

Okay, so let's dig in and look for those reservations. I find it's easiest to use the My Disney Experience app on my phone rather than the computer, so I definitely recommend you download it if you haven't already. In the app, look for the "+" sign at the bottom of your screen. When you press on that, a menu will pop up. Select "Check Dining Availability" there and then enter your party size. Next, a calendar will come up. Let's swipe over to June and select the arrival date you provided, June 5. Under the calendar, you can select "Breakfast," "Lunch," "Dinner," or a specific time. Searching "Dinner" brought up options like Be Our Guest Restaurant and Liberty Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom; Biergarten and Chefs de France at EPCOT; Kona Cafe' at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and quite a few more. Those are some of my family's absolute faves!

If you're looking for a specific restaurant and not finding availability, you might be able to use the Mobile Walk-up Wait List option on the app for same-day dining. You'll follow the same procedure as above, but when you select the time, click on "Now." That will bring up restaurants that offer the wait list option for that day, along with the expected wait time. You may also get a prompt that you need to move closer to the restaurant to join the wait list, so just keep that in mind when you're checking.

Brooke, when you're going to be grabbing a meal from one of Walt Disney World's many Quick Service restaurants, your My Disney Experience app will come in handy for that, too, with the Mobile Ordering feature! Just hop in and select "Order Food" from the "+" menu, and you can order and pay right in the app. You'll get an alert when your food is ready, and then you can grab it and go. It's so convenient and quick, and there are tons of tasty options to choose from!

I hope this helps you have a delightfully delicious Walt Disney World vacation, Brooke. Please come see us again if you have any more questions, and bon appétit!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
