    I can't find the "old" magicbands anywhere. I don't want to have to charge a magicband. Are the older bands no longer available?

    Welcome back to planDisney.

    I really enjoy having a MagicBand, and I can't imagine having to rummage around in my backpack now for my park tickets, my phone, everything!  They make life so much simpler when entering parks, rides, and using the services of a PhotoPass Photographer.  It's useful to know they are also completely waterproof so if you are swimming or visiting a water park (or get caught in a heavy downpour) you have everything handy on your wrist, especially charging facilities for an urgent snack or drink, and you can store your valuables and phone safely away.

    As of last October, I know for sure that the older version of MagicBands (MagicBand 2) were still for sale because I bought one for my next trip.  In fact, I have never yet used a MagicBand+, because I have always found a Magic Band 2 in a preferred design for sale somewhere at Walt Disney World.  You might have to search a little for them now, but you most probably will find one somewhere.  Check out the hotel gift shop when you arrive.  They have a smaller selection but you might be lucky.  

    Many locations around Walt Disney World Resort sell MagicBands - so it's worth having a look around.  For good selections, I recommend the Emporium on Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom Park, Creations Shop at EPCOT, and at Disney Springs - World of Disney or D-Tech on Demand at Marketplace Co-Op. 

    Keep checking ShopDisney.com as well because they frequently update their stock.

    It should be noted that guests from the United States staying at a Disney Resort hotel can pre-order their MagicBands from a wide selection on My Disney Experience mobile app, and have them delivered to their home address. The MagicBands on sale are often re-stocked, so please keep checking, and be ready to place your order as soon as you see the ones you want because they also sell out quickly.
