Can't get Fantasmic dinner package at H&V. Only got Brown Derby. Is it worth keeping my reservation at BD or should I make a non-package reservation at h&V? Going in Sept. I am worried about the limited Fantasmic shows and crowds.

    Kerri:

    I'll be honest with you.

Disney has done away with the special entrance for dinner package diners from which you used to be able to access the Fantasmic show.  The only perk of the package now is the reserved section, which is far off to the side and was not a perk, in my opinion, of the old package.....plus, the early dinner times of the package just don't make it a value any more.

I say skip the package.  Make your decision on the meal, and in my opinion, I'd still stay at Brown Derby over Hollywood & Vine....(I can taste the Derby's Coconut Shrimp and Seared Tuna as I sit here and type!)

If you dump the package, the September crowds are much lower than most other times of the year, so getting to the ampitheatre 90 minutes in advance seems excessive....the vastness of the ampitheatre makes me lean toward a 45 minute-prior arrival.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
