We can't decide between the Wilderness and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We have a 3 year old daughter. Any suggestions???

Hello Felicia.  Welcome back to the Moms Panel.  You will find that Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Wilderness Lodge are very similar in atmosphere, meaning they both have that rustic, kind of woodsy feel.  They both have great themed swimming pools, but I prefer the pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge with it's zero entry, which I think is ideal for little ones as well - they can splash and play without worry.  But hands down, the factor which makes me recommend Animal Kingdom Lodge over Wilderness Lodge are the animals.  I could literally spend all day just watching the animals from my balcony, or from the public viewing areas.  I think your daughter will also love seeing the animals and the Cast Members are so great at explaining the animal activities, even to little ones.  However, one of the advantages that Wilderness Lodge has over Animal Kingdom Lodge, is it's proximity to Magic Kingdom, and the ability to take the boat to get there, which is always a neat way to travel.

Personally, Animal Kingdom Lodge is my all-time favourite resort at Walt Disney World, but it wouldn't bother me at all to stay at Wilderness Lodge.  Felicia, I suggest you just go with your gut feeling - how much time will you spend at your resort, and do you think your daughter would enjoy the animals?  If you have any specific questions you'd like me to answer, I'd be happy to help you.  Have a magical day and I wish you all the best in making your resort decision!
