    I can't decide where to stay, we're a family of four (kids ages 11 and 13): Art of Animation (Little Mermaid rooms), Coronado Springs or Caribbean Beach? I've stayed at Caribbean Beach before, it was nice.

    Hello Lisa!  Thanks for asking your question here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, we love helping!  

    While I absolutely love Disney's Art of Animation Resort,  I would recommend looking into Disney's Coronado Springs Resort or Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort instead.  I think because your children are a bit older they would much more enjoy one of the Moderate Resort options because they offer more amenities.  One big bonus about staying at a Moderate level resort is the addition of water slides and hot tubs at the main pool areas.  My daughter is 6 and absolutely loves the slides at each resort and I know your children would too.  Another advantage to staying at a Moderate Resort is that the rooms are bigger by about 60 square feet.  We never feel cramped in a Moderate Resort room.  

    I've stayed at both Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and it really comes down to theme preference.  I absolutely love staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, in fact we just stayed there again in December.  It is my family's favorite resort but that is because we love the beachy tropical feel it has to offer.  We are drawn to the decor of the food court and the rooms.  My daughter enjoys the pool area and roasting marshmallows in the evening.  When I recommend a Moderate level resort this is always my go to choice.

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
