Hi, Kelly!
First, I must confess that I am fan of the Disney Dining Plan. My family enjoys good food, the Dining Plan has enabled us to know what our food expenses will be--and budget accordingly--ahead of time. If you head over to Walt Disney World's website, hover over "Where to Eat" then click on the appropriate category to find restaurant pages. Some, such as
Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort, include price ranges, which are based on time of year or holidays. For a precise cost of a buffet, call Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE and ask a Cast Member for the price for your specific date of stay. Others, such as
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review Restaurant at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort include a menu, some of which also include pricing.
For more specific, yet unofficial information online, check out allears.net. Hover over "Walt Disney World" and select "Dining." From there, you can find updated menus including pricing. You'll see your options on the left of the page, so scan through until you find the restaurants you're considering. Again, pricing is unofficial, but I find that this really helps me decide where to book even if we ARE on the Dining Plan. I want to get the most out of my Dining dollar, so I'll select restaurants which give me the most value for my Dining Plan entitlements.
Once you've picked dates for your stay, send another question and I can be more specific. Should you decide to opt for the Dining Plan, send another question and I'll give you lots of tips on how to spend those entitlements wisely. I love to help!
