Can't decide if I want my 1st 1/2 marathon to be the Princess or W&D. Princess looks likie a lot of fun with every dressed up as their favorite princess! Do people dress up for the W&D? If so, what kinds of costumes do you typically see on the c

Hi Carol Ann!  This is a great problem to have!  They are both fantastic races, but are also pretty different.

The Princess is a morning race, and runs through the Magic Kingdom.  It is a "girl power" race with tons of fun princess costumes, tu-tus, glitter, and sparkle!  It's a great race and lots of fun.

The Wine and Dine is a night race that runs through Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, finishing with an after-party at Epcot.  You will still see a lot of people dressed up.  There will be some princesses, and traditional Disney characters.  There will also be a lot of tu-tus and sparkles!  There aren't as many costumes as in the Princess, but still plenty to make it fun!

I think you would love either one.  I did like doing the Princess in 2009 as my first half marathon.  It is very inspirational and exciting.  I also liked that it was mainly females for my first race.  However, my favorite runDisney event now, is the Wine and Dine. I love going through more parks and I like running at night.

I hope this helps a little!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
