I cant believe my luck, you answer two of my ? already, before I Loved the pannel NOW im adicted, here is another one, we are heading to WDW for the 1st time on August 18 and I know that it rains almost every day, do they close the park or the rides???

I"m so glad we've been able to help you with your trip planning!

As for the rain, it rarely shuts attractions down.  When it rains, we just put on our rain ponchos (which you may want to purchase before arriving at WDW to save money) and keep going.  Most of the attractions will keep operating, but a few sometimes shut down --- especially if there is lightning.  But overall, rain has never stopped us from enjoying our time in the parks. And there is a nice mix of indoor and outdoor attractions, so if you need to step out of the rain, you should have a variety of options at the parks. The other perk is rain scares away many guests, so the parks empty out a bit.

You may find that the parades and outdoor shows (like Lights, Motor, Action Extreme Stunt Show) are more likely to be postponed, again for the safety of the cast members.

And as for shutting down the park, we've actually been on a trip when the parks were closed.  It was when a hurricane came ashore (which doesn't happen often). So, I wouldn't worry about that happening.  The odds are in your favor!

Also, I'd encourage you to wear flip flops or Crocs; walking around in wet tennis shoes can be a miserable experience.

    Have a magical trip!
