Howdy Amanda!
Welcome back to planDisney. I can’t believe it took my family so long to experience a Disney water park, but we finally took the plunge a few years ago at Typhoon Lagoon, and we absolutely loved it. My wife and I enjoyed relaxing in Castaway Creek while the kids went down all of the fun, waterfall-themed slides. So unlike the Miss. Tilly, we’re going to make sure your question isn’t left high and dry.
Alrighty, so beginning May 26th to September 8th, guests staying at a Walt Disney World Collection Hotel will be able to enjoy the added benefit of water park admission on check-in day. This is a really awesome benefit, especially since both
Typhoon Lagoon and
Blizzard Beach will be open during this time, so you can choose either option. I looked up my reservation in the My Disney Experience app and did not see anything about the water park admission. The good news, though, is that if you log into the Walt Disney World website, hover your cursor over the My Disney Experience tab, and then click My Plans and Tickets. Now scroll down to your reservation, you should see INCLUDED WITH YOUR STAY, Splash Into Water Park Fun All Day!
The other option for enjoying the water parks is to add the Park Hopper Plus Option to your ticket. If it is not showing under your tickets in the app or on the website, I would recommend contacting
Tickets and Hotel Reservations, and a friendly cast member will be able to assist you.
Since you can visit the water park before your resort room is ready, consider packing a small day bag with your water park gear. The water parks have changing areas with showers, so you can put on your swimwear there. Along with your swimwear, I would be sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, flip-flops/water shoes, and a change of clothes.
Amanda, I hope that you will soon be enjoying all the water parks have to offer. If you have any further questions, please dive back into planDisney, where my friends and I are ready to help.
See ya real soon,
Robert
