Ahoy, Debbie! Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question. I love the mysterious atmosphere and dim lighting at the
Blue Bayou Restaurant, where one can watch the boats float by as they begin their swashbuckling adventure inside
Pirates of the Caribbean. As a child I used to wave at people eating at the Blue Bayou Restaurant as our boat disappeared into the darkness!
As
dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance, popular venues like
Blue Bayou Restaurant can book up quickly. However, sometimes Guests’ plans change, and additional reservations may become available. I recommend checking daily until your visit to see if anything becomes available for your party. If you already have the
Disneyland mobile app downloaded, that’s a great way to keeping checking for openings while on the go!
In case a reservation does not open up in advance, you can try for a same-day reservation at the restaurant, but these are limited and subject to availability. If there’s any chance you’re open to another option to satisfy your craving for Creole cuisine, I recommend checking out
Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen® in the
Downtown Disney District. You’ll get a French Quarter vibe with a Cajun-spiced kick that won’t disappoint! They also take reservations up to 60 days in advance and you can check the
Disneyland mobile app for availability there too.
Debbie, I am sending you a little pixie dust, and hope you’re able to secure a fun dining reservation to experience that special southern hospitality.
Happy new year, and stop by again if I can help with anything else!
