I cannot get one of my magic bands to pair and bluetooth with an Apple Iphone. I have tried to reboot the band and deleted the app and reloaded it and I seem to be going backwards.

Hey there, hi there, ho there Connie!

Thanks for stopping over with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Connie, your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth begins in just a few days. Oh boy! I'm happy to help walk you through how to access the magic during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Connie, it sounds like you're attempting to pair a MagicBand+ to your mobile device. These handy bands are a swell way to unlock the door to your Disney Resort hotel room, charge purchases to your hotel folio, enter the theme parks, and so much more during your stay! Please note that, at this time, previous versions of MagicBands (MagicBand, MagicBand 2.0) cannot be paired with a mobile device. MagicBand+ utilizes Bluetooth capability to pair with the My Disney Experience mobile app. Connie, if you also have the Disneyland Resort mobile app downloaded on your phone, be sure to close out of it before attempting to pair your MagicBand+ in the My Disney Experience mobile app, as this can cause pairing issues. Also, be sure that you're running the most up-to-date version of the My Disney Experience mobile app before proceeding!

With a brand-new MagicBand+, I encourage you to use the supplied charging cable to fully charge your band before attempting to link and pair it. Once fully charged, log into your Disney account in the My Disney Experience mobile app and proceed with linking your band and assigning it to yourself or another Guest. After your MagicBand+ is linked, you should see the option to pair it with your phone using Bluetooth. For this step, make sure that you have Bluetooth enabled on your mobile device, and that you keep your MagicBand+ very close to your phone throughout the entire pairing process. (I like to touch the face of my MagicBand+ to the top of my phone during this process, almost like I'm scanning into a theme park!) Once completed, you should see an onscreen notification that the pairing was successful.

Connie, if you continue to have difficulty with pairing your MagicBand+ after exploring all of the troubleshooting tips available on the Walt Disney World Resort website, my final suggestion is that you reach out to the My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ phone line for additional support. I hope that you've found this information helpful and I wish you the most magical and memorable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, Connie! If you have any additional planning questions, please stop back by planDisney again anytime. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
